Joël C. Rowland, President
Joël Rowland leads basiQa, providing strategic direction and vision to the innovative production automation solutions company. A seasoned executive and successful entrepreneur, Joël applies his extensive experience in both IT and print production to deliver exceptional software to corporate, marketing and production services clients nationwide.
Prior to launching basiQa, Joël founded DocuGlobal, Inc., an information management company specializing in software development for the print industry. While CEO of DocuGlobal, Joël became a recognized expert in the assessment, development and the implementation of customized software solutions and data rendering technologies. DocuGlobal was acquired in 2005 by NCP Solutions and the products and services that Joël envisioned and created continue to benefit thousands of clients in a variety of industries across the globe.
Previously, Joël served as director of research and development for CMD Services, Inc., a provider of digital print, personalized mailing and order fulfillment, where he pioneered the engineering and development of the company's complete automated document fulfillment program. Joël has more than 19 years experience in information technology, including serving as a consultant to Xerox, and has spoken and written widely on industry issues.
Joël studied information technology at Kennesaw State University, and is a graduate of the University of Social Sciences ARSENAL in Toulouse, France with a degree in mathematics and sciences.

An experienced software engineer, Aaron Paden directs basiQa’s IT development efforts, creating the production automation software that enables clients to benefit from centralized, multi-channel communications management.
For the past 10 years, Aaron has served in IT research, development and management capacities at a variety of software companies. Most recently, Aaron served as a software architect at Infor, a leading provider of business software based in Atlanta. Aaron played a key role in the research and development associated with the company’s CSI, MyDay and CompanyOn solutions. Previously, Aaron was a senior systems analyst with EarthLink, and he also served as a programming manager with NCP Solutions, a data and outsourcing solutions company. Previously, Aaron was with DocuGlobal, a technology-based direct marketing firm, where he served as a Java developer and later as a software engineer, contributing to the growth and success that led to the company’s acquisition in 2005 by NCP.
Aaron is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a BS in computer science and a certificate in industrial/organizational psychology.

Franklin McMillan oversees basiQa’s operations, with primary responsibility for implementation services, proof-of-concept production, client-service and consulting. He is charged with the seamless delivery of basiQa’s products and services, and in helping clients achieve the full benefits of the company’s production automation solutions.
With over 20 years of experience in the direct-marketing industry, Franklin has been responsible for managing print pricing and proposals, program management, vendor relationships, quality procedures, letter-shop and warehouse operations, platform solutions and implementations for direct-mail clients. He most recently served as director of print operations with leading multi-channel marketing organization, ClickSquared, Inc., where he managed multiple departments responsible for workflow management, press planning, printing and mail execution of over 80 million pieces per year. Additionally, he served in a variety of management capacities encompassing agency, sales and production in sheet fed and web printing, design consultation, postal analysis, postal liaison, and direct mail fulfillment & mailing execution, including as director of business development and production at Miller.Whiterunkle Agency; senior account executive at Com-Pak Services, Inc.; and national sales manager of mailing and fulfillment at Curtis 1000.
Franklin is a USPS-certified mail-management professional, mail-center professional and mail-piece design specialist. He served on the Greater Atlanta Postal Customer Council as industry co-chair for the past two years.
